Cinnamon-Sugar Apple Cider Donuts with a Salted Caramel Drizzle
These apple cider donuts are the perfect fall treat with their warm spices and sweet apple flavor. Coated in cinnamon sugar and finished with a drizzle of homemade salted caramel, these donuts are sure to impress.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
In a separate large bowl, whisk together the sugar, apple cider, milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
Bake the donuts for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the donuts are baking, mix together the cinnamon and sugar in a shallow dish.
When the donuts are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes.
Dip each donut into the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating all sides.
Drizzle the salted caramel sauce over the top of the donuts and serve immediately.
